Rubia Red, the vegetable colouring extract, which Rubia Pigmenta Naturalia at present produces from madder, covers a 40% range of the total colour spectrum, in different applications. In the future, Rubia is aiming to market more vegetable colouring agents, thereby offering its customers the full colour spectrum range. Rubia Red's colouring extract distinguishes itself through its following unique properties:
- a vegetable colouring agent in a powdered form
- various other colouring agents are present in the extract. These colouring agents ensure a special colour glow, which cannot be equalled by synthetic alizarin
- perfect bonding with textile and other products, such as wool and leather
- exceptionally stable, extremely high colour fastness (research being carried out to the exact classification)
